Where did the money from the state go? If Funkhouser was paying attention, he would start asking questions about the money.
He should also ask there still are a bunch of bureacrats left at KCMO City Hall and do we really need them if they can't finish something as simple as a bridge in less than 3 years. How come Platte County started their project on Barry years later after KCMO did and may get their's done sooner.
3 years to redesign a bridge? I find that pretty hard to believe. The excuses about utility changes etc. is all BS. The design change was from 4 lanes to 3, how does that affect the utilities, soil, etc.
Clearly, the City office responsible is looking for reasons to cover their ineptitude.
